Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and prioritize incident response
- Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies, runbooks)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Investigate security incidents and lead forensic analysis
- Ensure compliance with NIST, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA frameworks
- Provide security awareness training to employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in a SOC or similar environment
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of threat intelligence platforms (AlienVault, Recorded Future)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
