Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for suspicious activities and security breaches.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents in a timely manner using incident response protocols.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and VPNs.
- Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement secure coding practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or information security role.
- Active certification such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight).
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and encryption technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
