Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms for security incidents and initiate rapid response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Develop and implement advanced threat detection mechanisms using AI/ML tools
- Lead incident response investigations including root cause analysis and containment
- Collaborate with network teams to harden infrastructure against zero-day exploits
- Generate executive security reports and compliance documentation
- Maintain security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations and incident response
- Certified CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ required
- Expertise in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
- Ability to work under pressure during critical incidents
