Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security protocols for cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR standards
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis, and remediation procedures
- Lead threat hunting initiatives to proactively identify emerging risks
- Maintain security awareness through training programs for internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF)
- Experience with cloud security platforms and containerized environments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Excellent written communication for reporting to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote setting
