Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices using cloud-native architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies
- Optimize system performance and ensure 99.9% uptime for production applications
- Lead code reviews and enforce best practices across the engineering team
- Develop CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes
- Document technical specifications and create API documentation
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and knowledge sharing sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in backend development (Java/Python/Go)
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong understanding of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems
- Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 7am-3pm CT)
