Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec) for real-time threat detection and incident response
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches using tools like EnCase and FTK
- Develop and execute penetration testing for network infrastructure and applications
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive leadership and technical teams
- Implement and maintain security controls (NIST, CIS benchmarks) across AWS/Azure environments
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches and cyber attacks
- Collaborate with network engineering to implement zero-trust architecture principles
Qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on experience in SOC operations or cybersecurity analysis
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification (required)
- Expertise in SIEM correlation rules and threat intelligence platforms (CrowdStrike, Recorded Future)
- Proficiency with scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking and common attack vectors
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong written communication skills for incident documentation and executive reporting
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 security operations environment
