Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct incident response, forensic investigations, and threat hunting
- Develop and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and policies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Stay updated on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
- Report security metrics and executive-level dashboards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience in security operations center
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ required
- Expertise in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
