Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct forensic analysis on security incidents and prepare detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses
- Develop and execute security awareness training for employees
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and other frameworks
- Document security policies, procedures, and playbooks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills under pressure
- Valid U.S. work authorization required
