Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts to detect and respond to cyber incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Investigate security breaches, document findings, and implement remediation strategies
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide real-time threat intelligence analysis and proactive threat hunting
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or SOC environments
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or Sentinel) and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001)
- Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions during security incidents
- Excellent written communication skills for reporting and documentation
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
