Responsibilities
- Server Management: Manage and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols, conduct patch management, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime.
- Active Directory: Administer Active Directory, manage user accounts, and configure Group Policies.
- Backups & Recovery: Oversee data backup strategies and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical business data.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation and system configurations.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or IT Support Specialist.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Server+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with non-technical staff.
