Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise servers, virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Implement and maintain robust security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Oversee network performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and ensuring high availability.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to improve efficiency.
- Lead server patching, backups, and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex technical incidents and mentor junior IT staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical infrastructure with business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of Linux (Red Hat, CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Identity Management.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations during system outages.
