The Role:
As a System Administrator, you will be the backbone of our IT operations. You will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and security of our server environments. We need someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to hit the ground running.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise Windows Server and Linux environments (RHEL, Ubuntu).
- Configure and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure using AWS or Azure.
- Implement and monitor security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs to protect sensitive data.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (Python or Bash).
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and restore procedures.
- Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Collaborate with the IT team to upgrade hardware and software systems.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator or IT Support Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Linux administration.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and DHCP/DNS.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VPN, and VLANs.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or CCNA) are a plus.
