Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux/Windows servers, virtualization environments (VMware/KVM), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and manage security protocols including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls to ensure system integrity
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot outages, and optimize network operations (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting (Python/PowerShell/Bash) and configuration management tools (Ansible/Terraform)
- Manage backup systems, disaster recovery plans, and compliance frameworks (SOX, HIPAA)
- Collaborate with development teams on CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration in enterprise environments
- Expert proficiency with Linux/Windows Server administration and virtualization
- Strong scripting skills (Python/PowerShell/Bash) and infrastructure automation
- Deep knowledge of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and cloud platforms
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Linux+, AWS SysOps, MCSE) preferred
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities with proven incident management experience
