Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive technology strategies to support sustainability goals, including renewable energy adoption, waste reduction, and carbon footprint minimization.
- Lead research and analysis of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, IoT, blockchain) and their applications in sustainability.
- Collaborate with product development teams to integrate sustainability features into technology products and services.
- Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics and technology performance, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, government agencies, and non-profits.
- Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry standards related to sustainability and technology.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and board members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; Master's preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology strategy, sustainability, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability technology initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends in both technology and sustainability.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience with sustainability frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB) and technology standards (e.g., ISO 14001, TCFD).
- Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and their applications in sustainability (e.g., smart grids, energy storage, carbon capture).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
