EquityFlow Systems is currently recruiting a dedicated Software Engineer to join our specialized weekend operations team in Sacramento, CA. We are revolutionizing the way equity options are traded and managed, and we need your technical expertise to ensure our systems remain robust and secure during critical trading windows.
In this unique position, you will bridge the gap between complex financial modeling and robust software engineering. You will work in a hybrid environment that values precision, code quality, and the ability to work independently during the weekend shift.
Responsibilities
- Weekend System Maintenance: Oversee critical infrastructure updates, database patching, and server maintenance to ensure 99.99% uptime during weekend trading sessions.
- Equity Options Logic: Develop and validate algorithms used for pricing and risk management of equity options derivatives.
- Code Deployment: Manage CI/CD pipelines to deploy updates to production environments without impacting the live market.
- Data Integrity: Perform rigorous data validation checks on daily equity option settlement data to ensure accuracy.
- Incident Response: Monitor system health and troubleshoot technical issues that arise during off-hours trading activities.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation for all weekend engineering processes and system configurations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Availability: Must be available to work on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as part of a core team.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably within the financial services or fintech sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++; experience with SQL and NoSQL databases; familiarity with options trading concepts (calls, puts, Greeks) is a major plus.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug complex issues under pressure.
