Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud applications using AWS/GCP and microservices architecture
- Lead weekend sprint planning and stand-ups, ensuring seamless handoff with weekday teams
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions (Terraform, Ansible)
- Conduct code reviews and optimize system performance for 24/7 production environments
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and technical documentation
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical systems during your shift window
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of experience in backend development (Python/Java/Node.js)
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
