Our weekend shift engineers are the backbone of our system uptime. You will lead maintenance activities, deploy new features, and resolve high-priority technical issues outside of standard business hours. Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications with a focus on stability and performance during off-hours.
- Execute database migrations, security patches, and system upgrades during the scheduled weekend maintenance window.
- Debug and resolve critical production issues that arise outside of standard business hours to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the Product and QA teams to plan and execute sprint releases for the upcoming week.
- Conduct code reviews and update technical documentation to ensure team standards are met.
- Optimize application performance and ensure scalability of our cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience (JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#).
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively during non-standard hours.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to document technical processes clearly.
