Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software code for our core platforms during scheduled maintenance windows and weekend shifts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex system issues and implement effective solutions with minimal downtime.
- Perform rigorous code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior developers to maintain high coding standards.
- Conduct rigorous testing and deployment of software updates to ensure zero downtime and optimal performance.
- Document technical processes, architecture changes, and system configurations for future reference and compliance.
- Participate in on-call rotations and weekend emergency support to resolve critical incidents immediately.
- Drive technical strategy and process improvements to enhance the efficiency of our engineering workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience in a production environment.
- Proficiency in at least two modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript).
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and effectively during off-hours.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a significant plus.
