Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and Java
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate testing processes for weekend release cycles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve critical production issues during off-peak hours
- Optimize system performance for high-traffic financial applications
- Lead weekend on-call rotations for incident response and system monitoring
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical workshops
- Document architecture decisions and contribute to engineering best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and microservices architecture
- Proficiency with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and orchestration
- Strong background in database design (SQL/NoSQL) and caching strategies
- Experience with agile methodologies and JIRA/Confluence workflows
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical certification
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems under pressure
