Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy high-performance microservices using Go and AWS
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for weekend deployment cycles
- Optimize database queries and infrastructure for weekend traffic patterns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers through weekend code reviews and pair programming
- Lead incident response during weekend operational hours
- Contribute to architecture decisions for weekend-scalable systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Go or similar languages
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and weekend-traffic optimization
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and infrastructure-as-code
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Experience with government security compliance (FedRAMP) preferred
