Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Python
- Optimize system performance for high-traffic night-shift operations
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product roadmaps
- Ensure 99.99% uptime through proactive monitoring and incident response
- Document architecture decisions and technical specifications
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and distributed systems
- Expertise in AWS/GCP and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Strong problem-solving skills for high-availability systems
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently during night shift hours
