Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize high-performance backend services for our Equity Options trading platform.
- Ensure system reliability and uptime, including proactive monitoring and maintenance during off-peak hours.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts and developers to implement low-latency algorithms for market data processing.
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues that arise during trading sessions to prevent revenue loss.
- Conduct code reviews and implement best practices for security and scalability in a financial environment.
- Document system architecture and API integrations to support team onboarding and knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in a high-frequency trading or fintech environment.
- Strong proficiency in C++, Java, Python, or similar languages.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, multi-threading, and memory management.
- Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and database technologies (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Ability to work the Night Shift (e.g., 8:00 PM - 6:00 AM) with a commitment to reliability.
