Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize high-frequency trading algorithms specifically for equity options markets.
- Ensure 99.99% system uptime and stability during critical weekend trading sessions.
- Debug and resolve complex latency issues in real-time market data feeds.
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers to implement new trading strategies.
- Maintain and upgrade legacy trading infrastructure to support modern protocols.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers on best practices for financial software.
- Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive financial data.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering, preferably within fintech, high-frequency trading, or quantitative finance.
- Strong proficiency in C++ or Python, with a deep understanding of memory management and low-latency programming.
- Experience working with financial data APIs (e.g., FIX protocol, WebSocket) and market data feeds.
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Friday to Sunday) on a regular basis.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with Linux environments and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of options pricing models (Black-Scholes) is a strong plus.
