Key Responsibilities
- Architect Scalable Systems: Design and implement low-latency, high-throughput trading platforms optimized for equity options data.
- Algorithm Development: Collaborate with quantitative analysts to model and optimize options pricing strategies.
- System Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve system performance to reduce latency and increase throughput.
- API Development: Build robust REST and WebSocket APIs for internal and external client integration.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices and security standards.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and technical architecture decisions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in the Fintech, High-Frequency Trading (HFT), or Financial Services sectors.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in C++, Python, or Rust with deep understanding of memory management and concurrency.
- Financial Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial markets, specifically equity options, derivatives, and Black-Scholes models.
- Distributed Systems: Experience designing distributed systems using microservices architecture and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Tools: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Responsibilities
- Develop: Build and maintain high-performance trading engines for equity options.
- Analyze: Debug complex issues in high-frequency trading environments.
- Integrate: Connect with external market data providers and brokerages.
- Secure: Implement enterprise-grade security protocols for financial data.
- Test: Create comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability.
