This immediate hire role offers the opportunity to lead end-to-end design processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams in our vibrant Oakland headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Lead user research, persona development, and journey mapping for complex digital products
- Create high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and design systems using Figma
- Conduct usability testing and translate insights into actionable design improvements
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure design feasibility and implementation
- Present design strategies to executive stakeholders and advocate for user needs
- Maintain and evolve our design documentation and component library
- Mentor junior designers and foster a culture of design excellence
Qualifications
- 5+ years of UX design experience with portfolio showcasing complex B2B/SaaS products
- Expertise in user research methodologies (interviews, surveys, contextual inquiry)
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools
- Strong understanding of design systems and component-based workflows
- Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design principles
- Ability to translate business requirements into user-centered solutions
- Proven track record of shipping successful digital products
- Bachelor's degree in HCI, Design, or related field
