Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end user journeys for complex enterprise systems in harsh environments
- Conduct user research, persona development, and usability testing across Alaska's diverse communities
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design consistency and accessibility compliance
- Develop design systems and maintain component libraries for scalable solutions
- Analyze user behavior data to iterate and optimize design strategies
- Mentor junior designers and champion UX best practices across the organization
Qualifications
- 5+ years of UX design experience with portfolio demonstrating complex system design
- Expertise in Figma, Sketch, and prototyping tools with knowledge of design systems
- Strong background in user research methodologies (interviews, surveys, testing)
- Experience designing for B2B SaaS products or industrial technology
- Proficiency in responsive web design and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and product managers
