Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise servers (Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions, primarily focusing on AWS and Azure.
- Configure and manage network devices, including firewalls, switches, and routers.
- Develop and execute scripts (Python, Bash) to automate routine administrative tasks and improve system efficiency.
- Ensure data backup and disaster recovery procedures are current and tested.
- Monitor system performance and security, responding to incidents and resolving technical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployments and infrastructure scalability.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy) and Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification is a plus.
