Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of on-premise servers, virtualization platforms (VMware), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Network Security: Implement and monitor security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to safeguard sensitive data and maintain compliance standards.
- System Optimization: Proactively monitor system performance, analyze metrics, and optimize resources to ensure 99.9% uptime and seamless operational efficiency.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks and reduce manual errors.
- Disaster Recovery: Lead the planning, testing, and execution of disaster recovery strategies and business continuity plans.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development and DevOps teams to facilitate smooth deployments and integration of new applications.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Operating Systems: Deep proficiency in Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Cloud Expertise: Strong working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect, or VCP are highly preferred.
- Scripting: Experience with scripting languages to automate IT processes is required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical stakeholders.
