Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of on-premise and cloud-based server environments, including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Network Optimization: Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure high availability and optimal throughput for all internal systems.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce robust security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and Identity Management (Active Directory) to safeguard sensitive data.
- Virtualization: Manage virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) to maximize resource utilization and efficiency across the organization.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and execute comprehensive disaster recovery plans and conduct regular system backups to ensure business continuity.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior system administrators and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT infrastructure with business goals.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party software and hardware vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Linux (Red Hat/CentOS), Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
- Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is highly preferred.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network routing protocols.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
