Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain on-premise and hybrid (cloud) IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking hardware.
- OS Administration: Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server environments and Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS) to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Active Directory & Identity: Oversee Active Directory services, user management, group policies, and identity access management (IAM) protocols.
- Cloud Solutions: Configure and manage cloud resources on platforms such as AWS or Azure, including EC2 instances, VPCs, and IAM roles.
- Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices, configure firewalls, and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive data.
- Automation: Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash) to automate routine tasks, streamline deployments, and reduce manual errors.
- Tier 2 Support: Provide advanced technical support to end-users and assist junior staff with complex system issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or IT Infrastructure Engineer.
- Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in Windows Server administration and Linux system administration.
- Networking: In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Scripting: Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation and orchestration.
- Cloud Knowledge: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, RHCE, VCP, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are a plus.
