Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration, maintenance, and security of Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and virtualization solutions.
- Configure and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network services.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell and Bash scripting.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
- Lead IT projects, including hardware refreshes and software deployments.
- Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server and Linux administration.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs).
- Proven experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced NYC environment.
