Responsibilities
- Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server environments to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Network Administration: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and configure firewalls and VPNs.
- Cloud Integration: Manage and optimize infrastructure on AWS and Azure, including IAM policies and VPC configurations.
- Security Compliance: Enforce security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage Active Directory (AD) user permissions and Group Policies.
- Scripting & Automation: Develop Python or Bash scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve system efficiency.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and execute robust backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data.
- User Support: Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to internal stakeholders and resolve complex hardware/software issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Certifications: Active certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Operating Systems: Deep knowledge of Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Tools: Proficiency in tools like Ansible, Docker, and monitoring software (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
