Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the day-to-day operations of on-premise and cloud-based server infrastructure (Windows Server and Linux).
- Implement and monitor rigorous security protocols to protect company data and prevent cyber threats.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshooting for internal employees and external clients.
- Collaborate with the DevOps and Network Engineering teams to optimize system performance and automate deployment processes.
- Conduct regular system backups, disaster recovery drills, and performance tuning to ensure business continuity.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory (AD) environments to ensure compliance.
- Document system configurations, standard operating procedures, and technical manuals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in System Administration or IT Support roles.
- Strong expertise in Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) and Linux distributions (RHEL, Ubuntu).
- Proficiency in networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent security clearance is highly preferred.
