The Role:
You will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and security of our servers, networks, and cloud environments. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive approach to system administration and incident response.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise server infrastructure (Linux and Windows Server) and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Implement and monitor network security protocols to protect against cyber threats and ensure data integrity.
- Automate routine IT tasks and workflows using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to improve efficiency.
- Provide advanced Tier 2/3 technical support and troubleshooting for internal users and clients.
- Oversee system backups, disaster recovery planning, and data retention policies.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role.
- Strong proficiency in Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is highly preferred.
- Excellent scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation.
- Valid certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
