In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of our server environments, ensuring maximum uptime and security. You will bridge the gap between legacy on-premise systems and modern cloud solutions, driving efficiency and innovation across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot complex server environments, including Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/CentOS), and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Configure and secure network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect data integrity and prevent cyber threats.
- Automate administrative tasks and deployments using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior IT staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Strong expertise in both Linux and Windows Server administration.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Experience with backup solutions (Veeam, NetBackup) and disaster recovery planning.
- CompTIA Security+ or higher certification is required.
