Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
- Implement and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, primarily Microsoft Active Directory.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell and scripting languages to improve efficiency.
- Monitor system health and performance using SIEM tools, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute regular backup verification procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy software updates and security patches.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in System Administration.
- Operating Systems: Deep expertise in Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
- Networking:
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols.
- Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell and Python for automation and scripting.
- Cloud: Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS is highly preferred.
- Security: Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, encryption standards, and compliance frameworks.
