Senior System Administrator - Denver, CO

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior System Administrator to join our growing IT team in Denver, Colorado. At Apex Systems, we manage complex IT environments for enterprise clients, and we need a detail-oriented professional to ensure our infrastructure remains robust, secure, and scalable.

Role Overview:

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of our internal and client-facing systems. You will be the first line of defense in incident response and a key architect in our cloud migration strategy.

What You'll Do:

• Manage and maintain Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot network hardware, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Implement and monitor security measures to protect data integrity.
• Automate administrative tasks using Python or Bash scripting.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure 99.9% uptime through proactive monitoring and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in System Administration or Network Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) and Windows Server.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is highly preferred.
• CompTIA Security+ or similar certification.
• Excellent problem-solving and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
