Responsibilities
- Server & Cloud Management: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server environments, including AWS infrastructure.
- Infrastructure Security: Implement and monitor advanced security protocols (Firewalls, VPNs) to safeguard sensitive data against cyber threats and ensure compliance.
- Performance Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, or Datadog) to proactively monitor system health, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resource allocation.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks, streamline deployment processes, and improve operational efficiency.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and execute robust backup and disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Network Support: Collaborate with network engineers to troubleshoot connectivity issues, configure VLANs, and optimize network architecture.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator, Network Engineer, or IT Support Specialist.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent professional certifications.
- Operating Systems: Deep knowledge of Windows Server (Active Directory) and Linux administration.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
- Active Directory: Strong experience managing Active Directory, Group Policies, and identity management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical certification.
