Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices in Python/Go for high-traffic SaaS platforms
- Lead weekend development sprints with global teams across 3 time zones
- Optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP using Kubernetes and Terraform
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and architectural reviews
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline automation using Jenkins and GitLab CI
- Debug production issues with advanced observability tools (Datadog/Prometheus)
- Drive code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Python/Go
- Expertise in cloud-native architecture and container orchestration
- Strong background in designing RESTful APIs and event-driven systems
- Proficiency with Linux system administration and networking fundamentals
- Experience leading technical projects with Agile methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent written communication skills for async weekend collaboration
- Portfolio demonstrating complex system design contributions
