Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the company's server infrastructure, including Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Implement and monitor security measures, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to protect sensitive data.
- Perform system troubleshooting, patch management, and hardware upgrades.
- Automate IT processes using scripting languages such as Python or Bash to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy and manage cloud solutions on AWS or Azure.
- Ensure 99.9% uptime for critical business applications through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Provide technical support to end-users and assist in the onboarding of new employees.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong proficiency in configuring and administering Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
- CompTIA Security+ or CCNA certification preferred.
