The Opportunity:
In this role, you will serve as the technical backbone of our operations. You will manage both on-premise servers and cloud environments, ensuring seamless performance for our internal teams and clients. Responsibilities
- Server Administration: Manage and maintain Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server environments, including patching, updates, and performance tuning.
- Cloud Management: Oversee cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, ensuring optimal resource utilization and cost management.
- Network Security: Implement and monitor security policies, manage firewalls, and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive data.
- System Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds) to proactively detect and resolve system anomalies.
- Automation: Develop Python and Bash scripts to automate repetitive administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain robust backup strategies and execute disaster recovery drills to ensure business continuity.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation regarding network topology, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator preferred.
- Operating Systems: Deep technical knowledge of Linux administration and Windows Server Active Directory.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
