We're urgently seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team in Detroit. As a critical member of our infrastructure backbone, you'll ensure 99.9% uptime for 500+ endpoints while implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments (Active Directory, VMware, Hyper-V)
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) with emphasis on security hardening and compliance
- Oversee network operations including firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system patching/upgrades
- Provide Tier 3 support for critical business applications and databases
- Document IT processes and maintain configuration management databases
Qualifications
- 5+ years in system administration with 3+ years in enterprise environments
- Expert-level certifications (CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in PowerShell/Python for automation scripting
- Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Datadog)
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts and respond to critical incidents
