Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events across the network infrastructure using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Lead and manage incident response efforts during security breaches, coordinating with internal teams and external law enforcement if necessary.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards such as NIST, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 through regular audits and policy enforcement.
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Active certification such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) for automation and security tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
