Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex cloud/on-premise infrastructure using AWS and VMware
- Automate deployment and monitoring with Ansible and Terraform
- Lead security hardening and compliance initiatives (SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Optimize system performance and troubleshoot critical incidents
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline integration
- Document procedures and provide technical leadership to junior staff
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Linux/Windows Server administration
- Expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, CloudWatch)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Certifications in CompTIA Linux+, AWS SysOps, or equivalent
- Proven experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with network security and firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Ability to work flexible hours during system outages
