Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms
- Manage network infrastructure (Cisco/Juniper switches, firewalls) and ensure 99.9% uptime
- Implement robust security protocols including endpoint protection, patch management, and compliance audits
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex system outages and performance optimization
- Automate workflows using PowerShell/Python and develop monitoring solutions with Nagios/Zabbix
- Document system architecture and create disaster recovery plans
- Mentor junior team members and lead infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise system administration
- Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS
- Proficiency with virtualization (VMware vSphere/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+ or Microsoft/Linux equivalents required
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and automation experience
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) and ITIL processes
- Ability to work on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
