Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex Linux (RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
- Monitor system health and performance using industry-standard tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana) to proactively address potential issues.
- Perform security audits, vulnerability assessments, and implement patch management strategies to maintain compliance.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with development teams to manage CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Lead incident response efforts for system outages and data recovery.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems, configurations, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Strong proficiency in Linux administration and Windows Server management.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Scripting skills in Python or Bash are highly preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
