Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms
- Implement robust security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards (SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and SolarWinds
- Manage backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery planning
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, and Ansible
- Collaborate with network and security teams for integrated infrastructure solutions
- Document system architecture and create SOPs for operational procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering Windows Server and Linux environments
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware ESXi/KVM) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and IaaS/PaaS services
- ITIL foundation certification preferred
- Proven troubleshooting skills for complex enterprise systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
