Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments including virtualization platforms (VMware/KVM)
- Oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) including resource provisioning, monitoring, and cost optimization
- Manage enterprise network security including firewalls, VPNs, and identity access systems
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python/Ansible for operational efficiency
- Provide tier-3 technical support and lead disaster recovery planning/testing
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios/Prometheus and implement proactive solutions
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience with Linux/Windows Server
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) with professional certification preferred
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Proven experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- In-depth knowledge of network security protocols and best practices
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple critical systems
