Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows Server, Linux, and VMware virtualization environments
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection
- Oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) including VPC configuration, IAM policies, and cost optimization
- Design and execute disaster recovery plans with regular testing and documentation
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and lead incident response for critical system outages
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in Windows Server administration (2016/2019)
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Certifications in AWS/Azure or CompTIA Security+ preferred
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- Experience with backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault)
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs for hardware maintenance
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
