Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds
- Design, deploy, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructures including LAN/WAN configurations
- Execute backup/recovery procedures and disaster recovery planning
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on automation using Ansible/Terraform
- Document system configurations and create SOPs for operational excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or AWS/Azure Solutions Architect
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network and system issues
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
